Health Reform Information

Health Coverage Options And Assistance

    Offers health care to eligible members at little or no cost.
     
  • Oregon Healthy Kids – 877-314-5678
    Offers comprehensive health care to Oregon children.
     
  • Oregon Medical Insurance Pool (OMIP)/Federal Medical Insurance Pool (FMIP) – 800-848-7280
    Covers adults and children who are unable to obtain medical insurance because of health conditions.
     
  • Office of Private Health Partnerships (OPHP) – 800-542-3104; Toll-free in Oregon 503-373-1692 (Salem only)
    Created to help reduce the number of uninsured Oregonians. OPHP administers programs that work together to break down access barriers, assist with health care costs, and educate program members, the general public, and health care professionals. Trains health insurance agents on state programs for the uninsured and changes in Oregon insurance law; operates referral program to connect businesses and individuals with insurance agents in their communities.

Prescription Drug Information

    Discount drug card available to Oregonians who don’t have prescription drug insurance and to Medicare Part D beneficiaries who reach the coverage gap.
  • Together Rx Access – 800-444-4106
    Discount drug card for income-eligible people who don’t have prescription drug insurance.
  • NeedyMeds.org
    Nonprofit with the mission of helping people who cannot afford medicine or health care costs. The information is available anonymously and free of charge.

Small Employer Health Care Tax Credit

  • Small employers that offer health insurance to their employees may be eligible for a tax credit to help pay for coverage. That tax credit is available today and will increase in 2014. For more information visit the IRS website.
